One strategy is to purchase the comforter set that most appeals to you and then design your entire bedroom around it. Another method is to buy a comforter set which blends in with the design scheme you currently have. For bedrooms with a rustic décor consider a comforter set in outdoors themes such as a moose print. For a more upscale design scheme look at brocades and silks for your comforter set. When purchasing a comforter set look at color as well as style. If you have bold colors and classic lines in the rest of your room then your comforter set should be as well. 
 
When bedrooms already have a colorful pattern on a rug or wallpaper it is often best to stick with a comforter set in a solid color. If, on the other hand, your walls and rug are solid you might want to bring some style to the space with bold colors and patterns on the comforter. If you choose to design the entire room around the comforter set your first step to take is to look at the various styles of comforter set. 
 
Look for something that you absolutely love and use those colors throughout the space. If you go this route don’t forget take into account the color of your flooring and walls unless you want to paint or recarpet. Another important consideration when buying a comforter set is quality. Buy one that is well made and uses good quality materials.
